Madhya Pradesh 's Forest Department 's Website mpforest.org was a surprise to me. Frankly, I had not seen an government's forest dept. website.
It also features the Forest Guard Recruitment-2008 examination and the results of the written exam.
MP Forest Dept website allows the users to go through the e-Forest Library, E-Information and e-Facilities. The FOrest Act and Rules have also been put up online. Several other measures like Forestry schemes, Forest Guard programme, Forest based industries, Plans, outlays, auctions have been put up online.
One can apply for forest land online using guidelines given here or even apply to reserve the Forest Guest Houses in Madhya Pradesh.
