Narcissism is defined as
2. Psychoanalysis. erotic gratification derived from admiration of one's own physical or mental attributes, being a normal condition at the infantile level of personality development.
Why are we learning the word narcissist now ?
In the Christie Brinkley-Peter Cook divorce trial, a medical doctor said in Court that Peter Cook was a 'narcissit'. Dr. Stephen Herman , a psychiatrist based in Manhattan said as much after assesement of Mr. Peter Cook's personality.
